The Musical Theatre Youth Company provides exceptional musical theatre training
and performance opportunities for 9-18 year olds.

The company runs on Monday evenings 5.30pm - 8pm at Stageworks Studios, St. Neots.
With the performance's taking place in June
​​
Over the course the company will be given technical classes in the different aspects of Musical Theatre, guidance on auditioning for the roles and learning to work together as a company to produce a show.

Everyone in the company is important from the ensemble to the lead role.

Fees and payments
Auditions
New applicants audition fee is £10
Payment must be made with a completed application form and
posted to MTYC c/o Stageworks Studios Office, Kings Road, St Neots, Cambs PE19 1BF

Cast Fee 2024/2025
Full course fee: £425
This is split into 7 months from November to May.
(this includes the production week and all costumes apart from shoes, tights and underwear)

The Team
Jess Hodge - Director
Stageworks College Singing, Dance and Acting tutor.
Jess completed her full time Performing Arts training at Bodywork Dance Studios and has since appeared as a vocalist with many different bands. She was one of four singers in Best of the West End, a revue style show in Qatar, with Caroline Flack. She spent three months as a vocalist on Splendour of the Seas for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Theatre credits include: Cassie in A Chorus Line – Cambridge Arts Theatre, Swing/ Dance Captain in Godspell UK tour 2002, Swing/Dance Captain in Summer Holiday UK tour 2003 with the lovely Christopher Biggins, after which she went on to play Princess Jasmine alongside “Biggins” in his production of Aladdin at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. Jess has also worked extensively as a session singer, performing with artists such as Tony Hadley, Bobby Davro and Sir Cliff Richard!
Hannah Williams - Assistant
Hannah completed her training at Stageworks Studios on the Professional Performer Course graduating in 2019. During her time at Stageworks she performed as 'Connie' in Made In Dagenham and multiple times as part of the girl group 'The Rubies' at many different corporate events.
Whilst at Stageworks she started teaching MTYC and Summer school. Her passion for teaching has since grown, continuing tO teach at Stageworks and perusing a teaching career in a primary school.
